Our courses can be taken in any desired order provided the basic equipment requirements are met prior to attendance.

 

Private Courses and instruction can be arranged for groups or individuals.  C/S 66 can and has travelled across the world to provide instruction.  We can instruct any one of our standard programs for private groups and ranges almost anywhere, or we can custom tailor a program for your specific needs.

Precision and Accuracy Fundamentals


Precision and Accuracy all starts with a solid foundation of the fundamentals. During this two day seminar, we will cover in detail and ensure that, you the shooter, will understand the fundamentals of marksmanship and become a more proficient shooter with your rifle system.

Topics that will be covered but not limited to

  • Familiarization of precision rifles

  • Care and maintenance for precision rifles

  • Set up of individual systems and optics to shooter

  • Operation and use of Optics

  • Use of optics and correcting for elevation and deflection

  • Zeroing your Rifle system

  • Tall Target Test

  • Marksmanship Fundamentals

  • Fundamentals of Accuracy / Precision

  • Interior / Exterior / Terminal Ballistics

  • Intro to Ballistic Computers, Kestrel and Applied Ballistic applications.

  • Individual / Systems limitations and expectation

Wind and Spotting Seminar


Take two days to shoot with C/S 66 in an environment designed to comprehensively address the fundamentals of calling and correcting for wind, along with working in a team and spotting swirl.

Topics that will be covered but not limited to:

  • Use of Ballistic programs and kestrel.

  • Truing of Rifle system

  • Marksmanship Fundamentals

  • Working as a team and individual

  • Use of optics for spotting and observation

  • Milling / Judging distance to Targets

  • Fundamentals of estimating and judging wind

  • Correcting for wind

  • Holds and Hold overs

Positional Fundamentals Seminar

C/S 66 Positional Rifle Seminar offers a 2 day Seminar designed for shooters / hunters of all levels to evaluate and train on series of exercises and drills commonly seen in today’s Precision Rifle Series. Students that complete the course will have a proficiency in firearm safety, firearm handling under stress conditions, advanced marksmanship fundamentals, a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment and systematic training methods for future progression.

Topics that will be covered but not limited to

  • Positional shooting, prone, standing, kneeling, sitting on and around urban obstacles while stationary and moving under condensed timeliness

  • Advanced positional shoots off of simulated roof tops and barricades

  • Snap and multiple target engagements under condensed timeliness

  • When to use holds and when to dial

  • Marksmanship Fundamentals

  • Adapting and utilizing equipment to build shooting positions

What to bring

  • Bring your rifle (optic) and 250rnds (match grade ammo)

  • Rifle, Optic, Preferred Mill or Moa however if it is your hunting rifle with a duplex redical, bring it. We will help you.

  • Anything you think of or wanted to try for positional shooting (Tri-pods, mono pods, bags, etc)

Combined Fundamentals Seminar

Day 1 / 12hrs

Precision and Accuracy Fundamentals :Embark on your journey with an immersive dive into marksmanship essentials. Regardless of experience, delve deep into precision shooting, covering rifle familiarity, optics operation, zeroing techniques, and the crucial Tall Target Test. With expert guidance and hands-on practice, refine your accuracy and precision fundamentals, establishing a robust foundation for the days ahead.

Day 2-3 / 12hrs

Wind Correction and Spotting Expertise Navigate the complexities of wind dynamics and spotting techniques in our intensive two-day module. Explore advanced topics such as truing rifle systems, distance judgment, and wind estimation. Through collaborative exercises and personalized coaching, enhance your ability to call and correct for wind, ensuring consistent, precise shots every time.

Day 4 / 8hrs

Real-World Shooting Scenarios Conclude your training with hands-on exploration of field positional shooting. From prone to kneeling, tackle various shooting positions amidst challenging obstacles. Hone your target engagement skills, mastering swift, accurate shots under pressure. With a focus on adaptability and equipment utilization, emerge prepared to conquer any shooting scenario with confidence and finesse.

Includes all match grade ammunition, PGWDTI rifle rental with Schmidt and Bender optics, spotting cope, Kestrel, range fees, learning materials and associated range equipment.

Bring Your Own Gear

Students will need to bring their own rifle, 350 rounds match grade ammunition, MOA or Mil rifle scope, Kestrel, spotting scope, and other range gear. Sleeping Quarters / Showers / Bedding and meals are provided.

High Angle / High Altitude Fundamentals

Day 1 / Day 2

  • Situated on ground level Engaging Targets from 600m to 2000m with 20 – 40deg angle of fire

  • Set up of individual systems and optics to shooter

  • Zero, True and DSF

  • Operation and use of Optics and Laser Range finders,

  • Use of Cos sign / Angle indicators and other means

  • Marksmanship Fundamentals

  • Platform Building, and Alternate Positions

  • Use of Applied Ballistics and kestrel.

  • Data recording

  • Working as a team and individual

  • Milling / Judging distance to Target

  • Use of optics for spotting and observation

  • Fundamentals of estimating and judging wind in mountainous terrain

  • Correcting for wind

  • Holds and Hold overs

Day 3

  • Helo up to the mountain side of 7200ft/asl

  • Trek up to firing line at 8200ft/asl

  • Engage targets from 800m – 2400m up to – 40deg of angle

  • End of day trek down to LZ and students will be air lifted back to Calgary.
